Valencia slap £70m price tag on Liverpool target

first_img1 Paco Alcacer in action for Valencia Liverpool have been warned off Valencia striker Paco Alcacer after the Spanish side slapped a whopping £70m price tag on him.The striker played just the final six minutes of the 3-1 La Liga match against Sevilla on Sunday, as a late substitute, after losing his place in the starting XI.The two-footed 21-year-old has started 15 league matches in Spain this season but has been subbed off in six of those.Alcacrer’s stock is still sky-high across Europe, however, which is why Valencia are set to tie him to a new deal running until 2020 with the gargantuan buy-out fee.The Reds have been linked with a move for the forward in the January transfer window.But the club’s sporting director Francisco Rufete said: “We still have to nail down a few small things after months of negotiations, but everything seems to indicate that Paco Alcacer will soon become a Valencia player for the next five years, until 2020.”last_img
