Chiefs in All White at Home

first_img 1 The Chiefs are my FAVORITE team and I surely don’t like the all white. The look is very dull. 313 Sports Logos Now I’m not a Chiefs fan, actually I hate the team, But I’m pretty sure they always wear their red jerseys at home. So this is a bit puzzling. What’s even more puzzling is, they’re wearing the white pants with the white jersey, which I haven’t seen them do since they got red pants, I forgot how many years ago. Like I said, I’m not a Chiefs fan, which is and oddity down here in Southwest Missouri, so please correct me if this is actually not that odd at all. Obviously you were misled as a child.. the Chiefs are the NFL’s greatest team. 1,204 buckeyenut 0 Posted September 11, 2006 15,496 posts I am dissapointed that they are wearing white at home. I really like the all white look, but I much prefer the new road look with the red pants. At least they aren’t wearing red monochromes. I just might have to shoot my TV if I see that. I love the all-white look, but not at home. They should always wear red tops at home… Sign in to follow this   21,575 1,292 1,292 Posted September 11, 2006 603 posts Formerly & Currently McCall Share this post Posted September 11, 2006 Now I’m not a Chiefs fan, actually I hate the team, But I’m pretty sure they always wear their red jerseys at home. I hate the red pants – looks too high schoolish. They need some type of dark pants, not black, but not sure what. I saw them on TV today, caught me by surprise to see them in all white – Is the NFL going to White at home or is everyone going “Dallas Cowboys at home this year”. 60 Location:southeastern PA Share on other sites 0 buckeyenut IceCap I boo and throw snowballs at Santa 0 369 1 369 369 0 TheOldRoman 1,635 posts Sports Logo News Posted September 18, 2006 1,204 132 #FULLFORCE Share this post Share on other sites #Grateful Chiefs in All White at Home speedo 0 Members Telemundo219 6 Share on other sites Chiefs in All White at Home McCall 15,496 posts Share this post 132 0center_img 1,204 Now I’m not a Chiefs fan, actually I hate the team, But I’m pretty sure they always wear their red jerseys at home. And I don’t really care, baseball’s my main sport, and there’s no need to really debate there, as St. Louis is the only city in Missouri with a Major League Baseball team anyway. Maybe they wanted the Bengals to wear black, think it would be hot. But it rained during the game, so I guess that didn’t work to well. 1,204 Link to post By McCall, September 11, 2006 in Sports Logo News 6 0 Formerly & Currently McCall Share on other sites Link to post Share this post Location:Missouri KCScout76 speedo Share this post On the radio during the game, they said Edwards decided to go with the all white to force the Bengals to wear black because he figured it would be hot during the game and would give the Chiefs and advantage by wearing white. The decision was made weeks ago and it ended up being in the 70s and raining, so there ended up being no advantage. Seeing as how the Chiefs fared wearing the whites at home today, I don’t think we’ll be seeing this again for a very long time. Kohli rested for final two New Zealand ODIs, T20 series

first_img(Reuters) – Indian captain Virat Kohli will be rested for the fourth and fifth one-day international matches against New Zealand as well as the subsequent Twenty20 international series, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) said yesterday. The BCCI is keen to manage Kohli’s workload in the build-up to the World Cup in England and Wales, with India set to continue their preparation for the tournament with a limited-overs home series against Australia starting on Feb. 24.“Considering (Kohli’s) workload in the last few months, the team management and senior selection committee is of the view that it would be ideal for him to get adequate rest ahead of the home series against Australia,” the board said in a statement.   Kohli has been in stellar form, scoring 282 runs in the recent test series in Australia to help India end a 71-year wait for a series victory Down Under. He extended his purple patch in the subsequent ODI series, finishing with 153 runs at an average of 51 in three matches, including a match-winning century at the Adelaide Oval. The 30-year-old finished as top scorer in both tests and ODIs with 11 centuries across the formats, and earlier this week won the International Cricket Council’s cricketer, test and ODI player of the year awards.Rohit Sharma, who led India to the Asia Cup title in September last year, has been named stand-in captain and selectors are not planning on calling up a replacement for Kohli.India lead the five-match ODI series against the Kiwis 1-0 after an eight-wicket win in Napier.last_img read more

Confed Cup: Germans beat Cameroon 3-1 amid red card controversy

first_img “The referee did not give any explanation,” Cameroon coach Hugo Broos said through a translator. “It’s a foul, fair enough, but both players had their legs high up to reach the ball. I don’t understand why only my player received a red card.” Germany extended its lead two minutes after the red card, courtesy of a diving header from Timo Werner. There were flickers of a comeback by Cameroon when Vincent Aboubakar’s flicked header slipped through Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s raised hands. But Werner netted again in the 81st minute to secure a 100th victory for Joachim Loew in his 150th match in charge of Germany. By securing top spot in Group B of the World Cup warm-up tournament, the inexperienced Germany squad ,playing without many of its 2014 World Cup winners, will now stay in the Black Sea resort of Sochi and play Mexico on Thursday. The other semi-final on Wednesday sees Portugal play Chile, which finished second in Group B after drawing 1-1 with Australia in Sunday’s other game. “Some of my players have no experience and were nervous because one mistake could have eliminated us,” Loew said through a translator. “It’s good to see how we were able to … up the ante.” Cameroon leaves Russia early and might not be back next year, given its struggles in qualifying. “We are one of the best teams in Africa, but there is still a difference between us and modern football,” Broos said. “We see the proof of that, that there’s a lot still to be done.” Chile 1-1 Australia Germany 3-1 Cameroon OCHI, Russia (AP): World champion Germany reached the Confederations Cup semi-finals yesterday with a 3-1 victory over a Cameroon side reduced to ten men after further confusion with experimental video replays. Germany was leading through Kerem Demirbay’s 48th-minute strike, when a case of mistaken identity halfway through the second half that replays were meant to eradicate, left the African champions bemused and irritated. Sebastien Siani was dismissed for a foul challenge on Emre Can after referee Wilmar Roldan inspected a pitch-side monitor. It took furious protests from the Cameroon players, including Siani sarcastically applauding Roldan, for the Colombian to check the monitor again and discover he had sent off the wrong player. Siani was called back on and Ernest Mabouka was correctly sent off. Yesterday’s results: NO EXPLANATIONlast_img read more
