Police briefs Thieves hit same property twice

Thieves targeted a Norfolk Concession 2 Townsend property twice within 24 hours and removed a vehicle and two ATVs.In the early hours of May 26 an SUV attached to a trailer containing an ATV was removed from the property. Thieves then returned a second time during daylight hours and removed another ATV that was parked behind a building.The stolen vehicle is described as a 2004, grey coloured, GMC Jimmy SUV. The trailer attached to the vehicle is described as a black coloured 2008, utility trailer that contained one ATV.The first ATV is described as a red coloured, 2016 Can Am Renegade. The second ATV is described green coloured, 2012 Yamaha Grizzly.Police are reviewing security surveillance footage that captured the suspect and vehicle involved in this incident and will be making attempts to identify those involved. The bike was stolen less than 15 minutes later.The suspects left an older bicycle behind in its place.The stolen bicycle is described as a grey coloured Giant Brass 2, with black handle bars and blue rims. The bike has front suspension and  blue and white stripes throughout the frame.Unlocked vehicle stolen with keys insideAt some point between May 25 and 26 a van was removed from a Murray Street East, Charlotteville, address.The keys were left inside the van with the doors unlocked when it was removed.The owner found the van parked on the side of the road on May 26 and contacted police.Police are reminding the public to remove their keys and lock their vehicles.
