Hotel And Conference Center To Be Built At Atlanta Airport

first_img Atlanta airport officials have announced plans for a new hotel and conference center that would be connected to Hartsfield-Jackson International. The 440-room hotel and meeting space will be built near the airport’s Domestic Terminal. Officials said construction will start in 2018, for the hotel to be completed by 2020.Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said the idea builds upon former mayor and UN Ambassador Andrew Young’s vision for a hotel at the airport.“His original vision was to build it over the atrium in Hartsfield-Jackson Airport,” Reed said. “Well, because of security concerns then, we couldn’t do that but I think that we have done as about as good as we can do today.”Plans for the four-star hotel and conference center are part an ongoing $6 billion expansion plan at the airport.Like us on Facebook.  Legal Advocate Discusses Medical Abuse At Shut Down Georgia ICE Facility Add to My List In My List Share Related Stories For Whom The Bell Rings ‘It’s Fractured’: Georgia Lt.
