Now, with the benefit of a few days’ distance, the Internet is pretty much done ranking the best spots to air in between plays. According to USA Today’s Ad Meter, it was Bill Murray’s Jeep spot that won the day ad-wise. In it, the 69-year-old actor revives his character from the 1993 movie Groundhog Day, waking up in an eerily familiar way and eventually embracing the day’s repetitive curse when he spots, and commandeers, a 2020 Jeep Gladiator.  PlayThe Rolls-Royce Boat Tail may be the most expensive new car everPlay3 common new car problems (and how to prevent them) | Maintenance Advice | Driving.caPlayFinal 5 Minivan Contenders | Driving.caPlay2021 Volvo XC90 Recharge | Ministry of Interior Affairs | Driving.caPlayThe 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is a new take on Canada’s fave truck | Driving.caPlayBuying a used Toyota Tundra? At a rating of 4.5-out-of-5, the plug for Hyundai’s remote smart park assist featured a lot of star power, with actors Chris Evans, John Krasinski and Rachel Dracht alongside the Red Sox’s David Ortiz. The joke is simple – people from Boston talk funny – but it works.Audi put GOT’s Maisie Williams behind the wheel of its e-Tron and had her sing your eight-year-old’s favourite Disney jam, “Let It Go” from Frozen. That’s good enough for 4 stars chez Ad Age. with a rating of 4 stars, Porsche’s “The Heist” ad (the first Super Bowl Porsche ad in 23 years) pits Porsche museum guards driving a variety of gas-powered vehicles against a thief in the new electric Taycan. It’s funny, fun and does a great job of promoting the German brand’s storied history.  RELATED Super Bowl 54: EVs take center stage in football game ads That may be the next-gen Porsche 911 GT3 hiding in this Superbowl ad Of course, they couldn’t all be hilarious hits. Kia tried to play a more serious note with its “Tough Never Quits” spot that featured Las Vegas Raiders Josh Jacobs giving career advice to his younger self, and earned a 2.5-star rating. And down at the very bottom with 1.5 stars was the ad for the new Hummer. It includes (get this) a herd of horses galloping across a plain to depict horsepower; and LeBron James dunking a basketball so hard he breaks the backboard to depict “pure dominance.” Not the most original, even with the sound on mute.  last_img read more
